[You are here. You probably made a wrong turn down that dark corridor. Maybe your Gummi Ship got knocked off course. Maybe you just felt like a change of scenery, or maybe you already lived here.

Regardless, you've stumbled upon Radiant Garden in all its glory. The flowers are in bloom, the fountains flowing. Or perhaps you're less fortunate and ended up here or even here. Time's in a bit of a flux. Open corridors link from one version to the other.

And for those uninterested in sight seeing, there are other activities to enjoy. Several moogles seem to have set up booths with snacks, items, and a synthesis shop. There's a sale on sea salt ice cream, and for thrill seekers, plenty of Heartless lurking in the shadows.]

Would it make any sense for me to be given this shape, were that not the case?

I guess it wouldn't. But I still don't get why I'm so important to Sora anyway. No one really bothered to explain it.

I guess...it's because you're connected to him. You, and others. I don't know what he feels about it, I understand your perspective better than his for reasons that are probably obvious.

[Roxas manages a little laugh. A version of himself probably would understand him better.]

If we find him, I'm asking.

I'm sure he'd have an answer for you.

[Because Sora's the type who simply comes out and says things, or that's the impression he's gotten]

I'd hope so. But all of that doesn't really help us here.

[And so they advance further into this castle. The eeriness of having such a large structure seemingly abandoned appears to have no effect on him, save that he remains on guard]

[It's certainly bugging Roxas a bit more. He's on his guard but skittish, occasionally jumping at shadows.]

...You should remain calm. When you're agitated, sometimes your actions aren't what you intend.

[Not at all weird to hear from a doppelganger, is it?]

How are you not nervous?

I'm only data. I don't have anything resembling a heart.

[As far as he's concerned, anyway.]

I question that. I have your pain, your grief, your anger...

And someone with nothing inside of them surely couldn't experience any of those so intensely.

Yeah, well, that's 'cause I'm weird. And no one wanted to explain it. I'm not supposed to feel that stuff.

I'm not sure they would've had enough information to explain, if they had ideas at all. Sora's connected to a lot of people, and I think one of those connections is the reason.

Even so, some information would have helped. No one told me anything, and it was like they were keeping information from me.

[cloak]

It was probably easier to control you, if you remained ignorant. At least, I can imagine that to be the line of thinking.

[He wants to say something about how blunt Data-Roxas is but he really can't because he's the same way sometimes. Maybe that's something to work on?]

Maybe. Doesn't really make me feel any better.
