[You are here. You probably made a wrong turn down that dark corridor. Maybe your Gummi Ship got knocked off course. Maybe you just felt like a change of scenery, or maybe you already lived here.

Regardless, you've stumbled upon Radiant Garden in all its glory. The flowers are in bloom, the fountains flowing. Or perhaps you're less fortunate and ended up here or even here. Time's in a bit of a flux. Open corridors link from one version to the other.

And for those uninterested in sight seeing, there are other activities to enjoy. Several moogles seem to have set up booths with snacks, items, and a synthesis shop. There's a sale on sea salt ice cream, and for thrill seekers, plenty of Heartless lurking in the shadows.]

He will when he gets that message. I could only convey it to the digital version.

Yes, because the Datascape is made from Jiminy's journal. It's all about Sora, after all.

It sounds like it must be a really weird world then.

It comprises representations of the worlds Sora had seen up to a point. So I guess it's not unlike greater World in that respect, except that it's limited.

So, I guess it's like me then. It only knows what Sora knows.

With a few bits added in, like myself.

But wasn't Jiminy the one who wrote the journal? Wouldn't it have his memories?

As a journal, it contains only what's put into it.

[A pause, then he amends]

Or rather, he does.

Which he, Sora or Jiminy?

[He shakes his head]

The journal. His manifests with Riku's appearance and demeanor, when he looked about the same age we do. The form deemed most suitable to protect the data.

[His tone suggests nothing of his opinion on this, however]

Riku? Really?

[Roxas does not have the highest opinion of Riku based on when they last met. Sore loser? Of course not.]

Yes, Riku.

[Naturally his opinion of the guy isn't all that much higher]

Though like me it's a matter of resemblance and borrowed memory.

So it's Sora's memory of Riku?

[cloak]

Not exactly. The journal contains memories that Sora isn't aware of, mostly concerned with hurt. And that includes Riku's.

How would he not be aware of those memories? And he also has Riku's memories?

[cloak]

[He shakes his head]

Memory is a complicated thing. I'm sure you don't recall everything about your existence, either.

[In fact, he knows he doesn't]

But no, Riku's memories aren't his. Those memories are there for another reason.

There's a few bits that are fuzzy.

But this whole journal thing just keeps getting weirder.

On the other hand, I probably have all of those memories. Because of what I am, I couldn't forget all that simply.

Where the journal's concerned... [He shrugs] Your own world will generally make sense to you, right?

[seasaltkeys]

Yeah, I guess.

[Except for the whole computer simulation thing.]

It's easier for me to understand than this, so I think it's the same principle.

We all understand our own worlds the best, huh?

[cloak]

That's the impression that I have, at least.

It's too bad we don't have someone from this world to explain it.
