August 2011 Rough Calendar Notes
Yosuke - Available Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Chie - Every day except sunday
Yukiko - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday
Kanji - Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
Rise - Friday, Saturday, Sunday??
Naoto - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
Nanako, Dojima - Every day that isn't a story mission.
Marie - Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, holidays
Naoki - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons (for planning the meetup)
-
7/28 - Thursday - Cloudy - Morning breakfast with the family. Dojima has to work, but things are doing okay. Nanako has a playdate with some school friends. Akechi gets a call from Naoto, who while still exhausted from their dungeon, wants to meet with the Investigation Team urgently and invites them to meet at the Shirogane manor. Calls are made, and everyone gathers around to talk about everything. Dojima, Naoto's kidnapping, and Dojima bringing up Niijima.
Everyone has conflicting opinions.
Yu - bit uneasy, but also wants the others to weigh in and respects that Dojima is trying to be respectful about this
Yosuke - Apprehensive because this case is personal to him and this Niijima guy is an outsider
Yukiko - Mixed feelings, but willing to respect the work Dojima has put into genuinely stopping the culprit and his reaction to hearing about the TV world is positive enough that she's willing to agree to it if the others are.
Kanji - Doesn't like cops much, but respects Dojima a ton and is open to it if Naoto is on the condition that the adults don't try to hijack their TV world escapades or make them stop.
Teddie - No strong opinions, but help is good right? :O
Rise - Dojima was really kind to her during the whole almost-kidnapping situation, has been really cool about everything, and so if he thinks it's a good idea, she's willing because they really could use more help in the real world, where they don't have personas to protect them.
Naoto - Very quick to praise Niijima for his honest sense of justice and his respect toward Naoto despite the age issue.
Chie - Seconding a lot of the more positive points, but also, she felt awful about what they did to Kanji's mom and really doesn't want to have to do something like that again. Allies on the outside could really make that possible.
Akechi - Respects Naoto's decision above all else.
Ultimately, they decide to allow Niijima in, provided Niijima himself is open to it and, should his eldest daughter be willing, Naoto recommends her as well as she is a dedicated law student whose knowledge would likely be very beneficial. It's a big status quo change for them, but has the odds to tip things in their favor.
As for Namatame, Dojima suspects him, but has no desire to move forward with an arrest with how quickly the department would want to declare the case closed and treat Namatame as a sole suspect. This means they have options for how to proceed with them. Naoto confirms they heard Namatame's voice before being stuffed in a bag, but did not get a clear look at Namatame on video. There is an audio file, at least, as well as a video file that Naoto plays on a laptop.
Problem is, Akechi doesn't have Namatame's contact information, so it's a shot in the dark when they'll meet again. He does know that Namatame tends to spend time in the shopping district and by the riverbank, so he'll be sure to peruse both locations.
Maybe some Naoto gender talk, maybe not, but with a tentative plan in motion, the group departs to give Naoto time to rest. Judgement rank up?
The family gardens that night and after Nanako goes to bed, Yu and Akechi confirm that the team is willing to include Niijima on the strict condition that neither he nor Dojima try to intervene in their TV world activities. The TV world is too dangerous to introduce uninitiated adults, as they'd likely all have to face their Shadows. Better they work on the inside, while Dojima and Niijima work on the outside. Though Dojima is still wary, he accepts this.
7/29 - Friday - Sunny - Gardening in the morning. Akechi goes to do social link stuff. Yosuke rank up where he talks about his feelings for Yu? Rank 6 Yosuke.
7/30 - Saturday - Sunny - Yu hangs out with Yosuke for the big gay moment? Namatame meeting happens, which is a rank up. That evening, Dojima asks about how things went and Akechi confirms that he was perfectly safe. I may be able to sneak in another Social Link rank up depending on how long the Namatame encounter takes. Rank 5 Namatame.
7/31 - Sunday - Cloudy/Sunny - Naoto's recovered. Investigation Team meeting. Plans for the Dojima and Niijima meeting. They probably need to at least give it a day or two so the Niijimas can settle in. As for Namatame, Akechi did get his contact information, so once they have an opportunity, they can make their next move. Investigation Team rank up?
8/1 - Monday - Rainy/Cloudy - The Niijimas arrive in Inaba. Dojima brings the kids for introductions and Naoto tags along because they've missed Sae and Makoto anyway. They all sit down to eat at the inn and mingle. It's a little awkward for both Makoto and Akechi, but Akechi tries to put his best foot forward. Naoto talks about how intelligent and smart he is, and how much they have in common.
8/2 - Tuesday - Sunny - Nanako and Makoto go play together so the big kids can talk. The Investigation Team, Dojima, Sae, and Niijima gather at the Shirogane estate where the Investigation Team presents their evidence. The photos and video recordings, the ability to enter the TV, and Akechi's own Shadow are all part of the 'show.' Nanako lets slip something about the meeting and Makoto gets suspicious.
That night, she asks her sister and father what everyone talked about, and maybe Naoto has dinner with them? None of them are forthcoming, and Makoto tries to take it with a smile, but inwardly she is very suspicious.
8/3 - Wednesday - Sunny - Yu hangs out with Ai? Rise is there, too. Chie wants to hang out, so she invites Akechi over to her place and maybe they play video games? Akechi gets to experience the joy of gaming for the first time. On the way back, Akechi muses about the situation, because they still have to figure out when to introduce Namatame to the team and get him up to speed. Chariot Rank 5.
Makoto peeks up from a book, watching them walk by. Something very fishy is going on. She decides to wander around town, trying to figure out what's up.
8/4 - Thursday - Sunny - Yu hangs out with Kanji. During her investigation, Makoto spots Sho Minazuki lurking somewhere and is deeply concerned about this teenager walking around with swords. Sho finds her freaking hilarious. Little goody two shoes trying to act like a cop? The police can't even get anything done around here.
Akechi spots this interaction and intervenes because WHAT THE HELL, SHO. Sho laughs it off because lmao. The chick's the one who approached him. What, trying to be a hero out here, too? Ain't got enough goin' on backstage?
Makoto gets MORE suspicious. Akechi, irritated, tells Sho to back off. They can talk another time, but if he's going to threaten an innocent girl, it WILL be a problem.
Sho still finds it funny, but backs down. Where's the fun in picking off someone who can't even pick a good fight? Little miss pushover here probably couldn't even push HIM over. But, hey, have fun babysitting! And then he peaces out, leaving Akechi with Makoto and I have no idea if this is a rank up or not for Sho.
Makoto does that huffy preteen thing of giving him a scowl and maybe puts her hands on her hips and declares that she knows something unusual is happening here, and he has the opportunity to tell her what's really happening. Akechi recognizes this is a lot like what he went through and apologizes, but it's really not his place to divulge this information without at least the okay from Dojima and her family. They were the ones who wanted to keep her out of it most of all.
Makoto is frustrated, but torn because she is one to defer to her elders' authority. Akechi tries to console her. There was a time where he was also being kept out of things and forced his way in. While it worked, it was stupid, reckless, and dangerous. Knowing what he does now, he can't risk getting innocent people involved, especially when here family is only here for the month.
Makoto at least respects that Akechi is being cordial, but finds it all so frustrating. Akechi walks her back to the inn, possibly chatting with Yukiko before heading home to get a rank up with her as well?
That evening, Akechi talks to Dojima about his concerns. Dojima understands why Akechi feels bad, but he can't in good conscience let his friend's daughter get too involved. It's different with Akechi because he already was involved, clearly knows what he's doing, and has the backing of those Velvet Room attendants. Makoto's just a kid.
Akechi calls Naoto about it, and Naoto offers to talk to Makoto. At the same time, Dojima calls Niijima up. Neither are entirely sure what to do.
8/5 - Friday - Sunny - Theodore rank 4? Makoto snoops and ends up questioning what Akechi is doing with a strange man with an unnatural eye color in bright blue clothes near the police station.
8/6 - Saturday - Rainy/Stormy - Akechi hangs out with Lavenza, showing her around town? Maybe the bookstore, but surprise, Makoto is there too. Akechi tries to be kind and introduce the two. Makoto is cordial but notices her strange appearance. All these strange people focused around Akechi... It's all incredibly suspicious.
Makoto goes to Junes to try and learn more. Has a brief interaction with Adachi where she questions what he's doing loafing around. Isn't he supposed to be working on the case? Adachi finds it annoying. Makoto continues on, finds Teddie working near the electronics department and tricks him into letting her into the TV before bailing. Teddie tries to make chase, but it's hard to keep up in his mascot suit and soon he loses sight of her. Panicked, he leaves the TV to call the otehrs. Everyone panics. That night, her midnight channel airs. Naturally, everyone is freaking out. The Investigation Team promises to rescue her the next day.
8/7 - Sunday - Sunny - Makoto's rescue happens. Konban or school themed dungeon that's been vandalized. The dungeon interior is small, like a winding maze of halls. They hear Makoto lamenting how she feels very lonely. Her father works all the time and seldom has time for her. Even this trip is less of a family outing than an excuse to do more work on an unrelated case. She's away from home in a town where a serial murder spree took place and it's scary, but she wants to be helpful so that she'll be noticed.
They fight their way through Shadows, eventually reaching Makoto and her Shadow. Makoto rejects the rebellious Shadow and a fight ensues. At the end, while Makoto does accept her Shadow and awaken a Persona, she also sees that she got way more than she bargained for. She's scared, exhausted, and teary and apologetic. They take her back to the inn, where her sister and father immediately grab her and comfort her.
That night, Akechi talks to Dojima, explaining how what happened with Makoto is exactly why they can't just introduce new people to the TV world willy nilly. The resulting dungeons and Shadows are unpredictable.
8/8 - Monday - Sunny - Yu COULD hang out with Ai? Or I could have him do something else offscreen. Akechi goes to cheeck in on Makoto with Naoto. She's very tired and very scared, but thankful for their help. Her family plans to take her out to just have fun family time soon, so in a way she got what she wanted. She just hates that she handled it so selfishly.
On the way out, Akechi meets with Yukiko for a rank up, maybe? Priestess Rank 5.
8/9 - Tuesday - Sunny - Yu hangs out with Rise. Maybe Akechi's there too for Lovers Rank 5? Yu studies with Shu that night. Akechi talks on the Featherman forum, apologizing for his absence. Things have been hectic in Inaba and he's had little time to rest and enjoy the Featherman series.
He gives some thoughts about the direction Victory has taken and inquires about the overall reception, since it's a rather bold departure from the familiar formula. Swallowfan98 pops in, intrigued by Akechi from Inaba due to the murder case that's going on. Alibaba also chimes in, saying it's gotta be supernatural. She's seen creepy conspiracy posts about some kinda Midnight Channel thing. C'mon, spill, White Crow! What's going on?
Akechi feels very awkward because he really just wanted to decompress about Featherman. Is a public forum really the place to discuss these things?
Swallowfan98 DMs him saying that he can give an email if he wants to talk about it more. He's seen some pretty strange stuff, so if there IS weirdness in Inaba, he'd believe it.
Akechi hesitates, but asks what kind of weirdness. Swallowfan98 asks if he ever heard about Apathy Syndrome. Akechi's interest is piqued. If other people are discussing the Midnight Channel online, perhaps it's okay. He doesn't have to spill everything.
He confirms that the Midnight Channel is real.
8/10 - Wednesday - Sunny - Yu invites Kou and Daisuke into the room. Akechi and Naoto finally approach Naoki?
8/11 - Thursday - Cloud/Rainy - Yu rides his scooter, does hospital work at night?
8/12 - Friday - Rainy -
8/13 - Saturday - Sunny/Cloudy - Remember plot stuff in the evening.
8/14 - Sunday - Sunny -
8/15 - 8/19 - Yu works at Junes, and so does Chie. Can use this time for other social links with Akechi?
8/20 - Saturday - Sunny - Summer festival.
8/21 - Sunday - Sunny - Shrine festival moment.
8/22 - Monday - Sunny - Yu and Yosuke Rank 10?
8/23 - Tuesday - Sunny - Beach trip, baby.

Chie - Every day except sunday
Yukiko - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday
Kanji - Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
