undyingcrow[This was supposed to be a simple mission. A small "Shadow Nest," they'd called it. Not quite a Palace, but still a pocket of distortion between reality and cognition, it seemed the perfect opportunity for Akechi to put his abilities to the test.
At first, it seemed so simple. Megidolaon and Riot Gun to incinerate droves of Shadows en masse. Rebellion Blade and Laevateinn for pure damage, Eigaon for any curse weakness. Debilitate, by all means, should have only made things simpler...
There was just one problem: Bless magic.
Before, he had the St. Hermelin Badge to account for his weakness, but that went away with the destruction of Maruki's reaity.
All it took was one poorly-timed Hamaon to bring him to his knees.
The cries of his new "teammates" broke out all around. He endured, but the enemy Shadow reared back for another attack, putting him in a rather dire position.
What a miserable showing. How could it have come to this...?]
