State of the Muses
character: Riku ( ![]() series: Kingdom Hearts game: ![]() tagging priority: ■■■■■: Right now, he's probably my biggest priority here, but my tagging isn't quite as intense as it's been in the past. Still, I'll leave it at full because I've been in the mood lately. muse strength: ■■■■■: Riku's been surprisingly strong as of late. I think part of it has to do with me working on a Riku-centric fanfiction. His voice isn't one I really have to think too hard on, which is a good thing because for a while I was kinda worried about him. Now I'm honestly more invested than him than my inbox-eater, Rainbow Dash. Probably a good sign, since I've had him consistently in game for three years now. cast strength: ■■■□□: The cast is really shrinking, and it's a shame. The only castmate he's really close to right now is Kairi, although he and Xion are on pretty good terms. I could probably stand to get him out more and interacting with the others. My output's just been sketchy in general due to school and my fic. plotting capabilities: ■■■□□: It's there, but I'm having trouble coming up with much for him to do. He's at a point in canon where his life is okay. He still has darkness, but without Ansem's presence, it's not something that's going to overwhelm him. He also learned abilities from Terra and Aqua, making him considerably less reliant on his darkness other than for quick transportation. Because he's a combatant and does sorta act as a grey area, I think he could be a lot of fun for plotting purposes. It's just a matter of how to get him involved. If I choose to canon update him, there is something I could definitely do with him, but I won't mention it because spoilers. The downside to canon updating him is that he'd de-age a little, which is a bit unfortunate since he'll be (mentally) 19 in January. general fun level: ■■■■□: When I'm in the mood, Riku is a lot of fun. However, I'm not always consistently in a Riku mood, and he still needs more CR and more activities. likelihood of drop: □□□□□: At one point, I might have put him at a one or two, but now? I have no real inclination to let him loose, even if he has kinda stagnated. |
character: Ventus ( ![]() series: Kingdom Hearts game: ![]() tagging priority: ■■■□□: Ventus, Ventus, Ventus. At one point he was my huge priority in tagging. Last summer was absolutely great for him, but these days I haven't been throwing him out as much as I probably should be. Part of it's because of school and fic, but another part is because I'm still a bit uneasy about the general fun level I give people when we thread. :/ muse strength: ■■■■□: Ven is usually a pretty easy character for me, but ever since it came up on anoncomm, I'm worried that he's not engaging enough. His voice is there, though, and I do think I have a solid understanding of his character. I'm just not as confident as I am with Riku. cast strength: ■■■□□: It's dwindling, like I said with Riku. Ven really hasn't interacted with the cast as much as he should, or his close CR for that matter due to my lack of RP overall lately. plotting capabilities: ■■■□□: I think there's some good potential for Ven because he's such a friendly and easygoing character who's been to a number of different worlds and also has loads of room to grow. The problem is, he doesn't have near enough conflict in his life, and Luceti is more saturated with heroes than actual threats. general fun level: ■■■□□: Ven is still fun when I'm in the mood, but I really need to find a way to get him out more and doing more things because he's stagnating. likelihood of drop: □□□□□: Yet despite all this, I have no urge to drop him at all any time soon. Unless something drastic changes, he's here to stay. |
character: Rainbow Dash ( ![]() series: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic game: ![]() tagging priority: ■■□□□: ...eh. I'm honestly not prioritizing her tags right now because she's monopolized my inbox a lot in the past, and I don't want to be too Dash-focused when I have my two KH dudes and other games to worry about, too. I feel insanely guilty about this, though, because I have some great castmates and CR I'm probably neglecting as a result. Plus, Dash has to start up her club. muse strength: ■■■■□: She's pretty strong, for the most part, though occasionally I worry that Riku's voice is bleeding into hers. cast strength: ■■■■□: It's a big cast with an almost complete Mane Six, plus the princesses. What's not to like? I do feel like I'm not being active enough for them, though. plotting capabilities: ■■■■■: I think Dash has a lot of plotting potential because she's still fairly new to Luceti, is from a popular canon, is very much a go-getter who is always itching for something awesome to do. Plus, she's got the Standout Crowd starting up... at some point when I have time to do so. Also, the fact that she's a colorful pony from a G-rated cartoon leads to some interesting conversations and leaves her really baffled when things clash with her ideas of norms. general fun level: ■■■■■: Dash is a fun character. There's a reason why she does tend to dominate my inbox if I'm not too careful, and so far she hasn't stagnated at all, which is a problem I occasionally have with my other two. likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: The thought has crossed my mind because I'd hate to wind up squatting when there's such an awesome cast, but... for now? Don't worry about it. I'd like to hold onto her for as long as I can. |
character: Riku [AU] ( ![]() series: Kingdom Hearts game: ![]() tagging priority: ■■■□□: Not a huge priority, and I need to change this. Keyku's been in game for a few months now, but he hasn't made enough CR for my liking. muse strength: ■■■■■: Oh, he's strong all right. This is what happens when you write a novel-sized fic about the character and a sequel that's sure to be just as long. Keyku is probably my strongest Riku muse right now because I'm always actively thinking about his universe and experiences. cast strength: ■■■■■: Amazing. The cast is massive. So massive that I still haven't thrown him at everybody yet, and... this has also hindered me from getting more panfandom CR, but I've had a lot of fun with this cast and am hoping to have Riku get to know his castmates and make some new friends in the near future. plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: I'd say he's pretty solid. He has all kinds of issues to work through, a ton of growing he needs to do, and the fact that he's a Keybearer with a number of abilities means he's pretty competent and can handle dangerous plots pretty well. I'd like to get him involved in some hero work because the tower is such a dangerous place. He also plans on giving Sora some pointers with his Keyblade. general fun level: ■■■■■: When I get in the groove, Keyku is a lot of fun to play both in and out of game. Probably helps that I have Antipode on the brain. likelihood of drop: □□□□□: NOPE. |
character: Riku ( ![]() series: Kingdom Hearts game: ![]() tagging priority: ■■■■□: Oddly enough, I've kinda been prioritizing his tags a little bit. I think a part of it is because he really needs more interactions in the game. This may change, however. For now? It's lookin' pretty good. muse strength: ■■■■■: Like all my Rikus, he's going strong! The fact that I play him from KH1 means he's still as snarky as ever, although he's not quite as hard on his team these days. cast strength: ■■■□□: It's there, but he honestly hasn't had much interaction with them beyond Ventus and Xion. This is something I'd really like to fix because the cast is decently sized and fun to see. plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: I think there's plenty of potential for Riku because, while he has matured over the past two years, he's still got a lot to learn. That, and he's a self-proclaimed Pokémon expert with about 20 level 100's, so he's definitely got some big guns on hand. The problem is, it's hard to figure out where he is a lot of the time because Route is a game that relies heavily on OOC communication. Usually I have to check with Ren, since there's no way Riku would ditch his derp bro. general fun level: ■■■■□: I really do like playing Riku here! It's just occasionally frustrating when I have no idea where he is, which leads to me getting stuck and unable to really post or do much beyond network tags. The fact that he's had to keep backtracking doesn't exactly help, either. likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: I've vaguely thought about it before, but it's unlikely to happen because I'm too attached to Riku, his team, and his accomplishments so far. |
